Disability benefits are an important part of your benefit package with the County of Riverside.  Disability plans provide replacement income benefits when you are unable to work due to illness or injury. 

The County of Riverside is an exempt employer for the State Disability Insurance (SDI) program (https://edd.ca.gov/).  Regular employees covered by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and Laborers' International Union (LIUNA) have bargained to join the SDI program.

The County provides employer paid benefits for some groups of employees through The Standard and Sedgwick.  Your bargaining or representation unit determines eligibility.
